Season of the Female Music Director

The 2018/19 Broadway season has a record number of female music directors. However, jobs still tend to go to white men. Recently, there have been efforts made to change that. We speak to music directors about gender bias in hiring practices and in the rehearsal room, and recent attempts to right the systemic wrongs.
